You are in an exclusive group of 6 luxury pods at the foot of the picturesque Rocky Mountain. The Mourne Mountain Region is designated as an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and parts are owned by the National Trust.
Just a short drive from County Down’s top attractions such as: Slieve Donard, Slieve Binnian, Silent Valley Reservoir, Murlough beach and National Nature Reserve, Tullymore Forest Park, Spelga Dam, Kilbroney Forest Park and lots more!
You are also within walking distance of a little-known Game of Thrones film location on the old Batts Estate, picturesque forest trails and mountain paths.
In driving distance from Hilltown, Newcastle and Castlewellan where you will be spoilt for choice with a diverse range of restaurants, pubs and entertainment events.
Just 1hr 30mins from Dublin and 45 mins from Belfast, Leitrim Lodge is a central location for a relaxing short break away.

Leitrim Lodge glamping pods is hosted by proud local landowners Mary and William Johnston. Mary and her family will be your welcoming host on site.
Each mountain view glamping pod has been uniquely styled and caters perfectly for couples, families and groups. You will sleep at the foot of the Rocky Mountain. Within walking distance of a little-known Game of Thrones film location on the old Batts Estate, picturesque forest trails and mountain paths awaken the senses. A perfect base to explore all that the Mournes has to offer.
Your main point of contact will be our lovely on-site host Mary, she will be able to assist you with anything you need. The pods are placed on the farm attached to the hunting lodge built by Narcissus Batt in 1834 once part of the old Batt’s estate. The lodge is home to the hosts Mary and Billy, the fourth generation to live here and work in the area.

By day enjoy the amazing mountain views and idly watch sheep follow the favoured mountain paths later appreciate a beautiful starlit night and bright crescent moon hang suspended above the Rocky mountain.
Watch the morning mist curl up the shrouded mountain side to reveal a lone hiker using the mountain path to travel to the disused turf bog or catch the sun rise above the Rocky telling of another perfect day.
